Foam

Foam is a lightweight and versatile material with air-filled cells that can be customized for insulation, protection, and transport. AAG offers custom foam solutions in various grades, as well as open-cell and closed-cell options.

What is foam?

Foam is a lightweight, porous material consisting of a solid structure with many small air- or gas-filled cells. These cells can be either open or closed, which affects the material’s properties such as flexibility, insulation, and water absorption. Foam is typically made from plastic or rubber through a process in which gas is added during production, causing the material to expand and form its characteristic cellular structure.

Thanks to its structure, foam is suitable for a wide range of applications, including insulation, shock absorption, sealing, and comfort products. It is used, for example, in secure storage and transportation, construction, and technical solutions where low weight and good insulating properties are important. Foam can be customized in density, hardness, and structure to meet specific needs in various applications.
