V-Max Pot Bearings

AAG offers V-Max Pot Bearings, also known as pot bearings. V-Max Pot Bearings are designed to support combinations of vertical and horizontal loads, as well as longitudinal and transverse movements and rotations. They are used in steel and concrete road and railway bridges.

V-Max kan modstå store belastninger og stor deformation i enhver retning samtidig med, at der er mulighed for mindre rotationer (<0,03 rad) i en af lejens akser. En indkapslet naturgummipude er placeret i en stålpotte, som under højt tryk opfører sig som en væske. Gummiets elasticitet gør det muligt for stemplet at bevæge sig (rotere) i den vandrette akse. Bevægelseskapacitet opnås ved at koble en plade af et lavfriktionsmateriale (for eksempel PTFE) med en overflade af rustfrit stål.

Depending on the configuration, they can accommodate horizontal loads as well as movements in the longitudinal and/or transverse directions. This type of bearing can withstand vertical loads of up to 100,000 kN. The reference to the European standard is EN 1337-5.
