TPE is the common name for thermoplastic elastomer—also known as thermoplastic rubber. TPE is a rubber-like material that can be processed using thermoplastic technologies such as injection molding, two-component molding, or extrusion. It is a significantly more “green” material from an environmental standpoint, with lower energy costs compared to conventional plastics and rubber.
