Description

At AAG, we offer a variety of metal gaskets from Lamons. Lamons’ standard metal gaskets are manufactured in accordance with API 6A, API 17D, and ASME B16.20 specifications. The metal gaskets are available with oval and octagonal cross-sections. These basic shapes can be used at pressures up to 10,000 psi (64 MPa). The dimensions are standardized and require specially grooved flanges.

The octagonal cross-section provides better sealing performance than the oval cross-section and is therefore the preferred type of metal gasket. However, metal gaskets with an oval cross-section can only be used in the older type of round-bottomed groove. For newer flat-groove designs, metal gaskets with both oval and octagonal cross-sections can be used.
