After more than 16 years in the role, René Jacobsen is stepping down as CEO of AAG Aalborg Gummivarefabrik , effective December 31.
After more than 16 years in the role, René Jacobsen is stepping down as CEO of AAG Aalborg Gummivarefabrik , effective December 31.
He will continue his involvement with the company in a new role on the board, where he will contribute his experience and insight to its future strategic development.
“It has been a privilege to lead AAG Aalborg Gummivarefabrik through a period of significant growth and development. I look forward to continuing this journey from the boardroom and supporting the company as it takes its next steps,”says René Jacobsen.
The company’s current CCO, Allan Tarp, who has been with the organization for 17 years, will take over as the new CEO. He started in internal sales and has since held a number of key positions within the company, most recently as Chief Commercial Officer.

The Board of Directors emphasizes that the appointment of Allan Tarp is a natural step in the company’s long-term strategy for management continuity and the further development of the strong culture that characterizes AAG Aalborg Gummivarefabrik . The transition is part of the prudent approach that has always characterized the company’s development and is a clear continuation of a proud tradition of training and developing its own talent.

His leadership experience and deep understanding of the company make him well-equipped to steer the company safely into its next chapter,”says René Jacobsen.
The change in leadership will take effect on January 1, 2026.
