Renovation of wheels using food-grade PUR

The customer contacted us with a request to refurbish old wheels used for transport cages in the food industry. Drawing on our many years of experience in providing custom solutions for the food industry, we set to work on the project.

AAG supplies food-grade PUR to an international customer

For this project, PUR was particularly well-suited due to its unique combination of strength and flexibility. Based on the customer’s wishes and needs, we selected a grade capable of withstanding high mechanical loads and, of course, suitable for food contact. The blue PUR, which is characteristic of materials used in the food industry, was molded onto the old wheels.

The customer tested the solution over the Christmas period and reported that they are very satisfied with the quality.
